In the last globalization - 1800s, when China was the sole Superpower and the West was a 3rd world, which the Chinese referred to as barbarians and treated with contempt. You can still see such manner remained in Shanghai and Beijing people.
Long story short, the West invaded, pillaged and condemned China to decades of war, famine, disease and isolation. The last globalization ended in WWI and WWII, and US (Democracy) and Russia (Communism) was the last 2 men standing.

Like previous years during holidays such as July 4, or Xmas, the security level rose, especially soon after 911. That is to say, anything we, the West, valued, loved, celebrated or important to us, is a targeted by anti-West. This is no different; also the attack in Paris.
I knew this as Anti-West from Asia been targeted me since the 1990s as soon as I arrived in the Silicon Valley, and the 1st month on the job in the Patent and Trademark Office in 2010; also why I warned of the stealing of trade secrets since 2004, that now manifested in hackings of not just trade secrets, but also all government agencies; in addition to 2 failed attempt beheadings on me (see pic) for being a Westernized/Americanized Asian woman and to make the lawsuit again the Patent and Trademark Office go away. The anti-West from Asia also targeted me here in the DC metro where most of top government intelligence agencies reside, just as they had in the Silicon Valley where I had to abscond from due the physical harm threats (http://eeoccase.blogspot.com/).
In similar hell-bent manner, I’ve been targeted by racist and sexist in the Silicon Valley/Tech industry, and the Patent and Trademark Office – a government agency here in Virginia.
For those who haven’t done this yet, have a plan when this kind of mass shooting occur, this will be the norm for years to come.
This will end when we learn to live together, or ……
