If I were to advice how girls should be treated

I would want girls to be treated like the boys and with the same expectation from the girls, and only give special treatment after they earned them.  This also prevents the boys resented the special treatment when the girls did not earn them.

If girls are treated as special while they are young, then girls expected to be treated in a special way as well after they grow-up, which is not healthy for them.

From my own experiences, women have to do more to get the same recognition as her male counterpart, but 70% pay of her male counterpart.  If the woman also an Asian, she will be fired just because some people such as my manager Paul Rodriguez don't like Asian or women, or coworkers from Asia.  Worst is that she will be fired because she is a woman excelled in the job over the males in the Science and Tech field, and she may be beheaded if she works with engineers from the 3rd world such as Asia; that's why there are so few women in the upper management in the Tech industry.

It should be known that discriminations toward women/girls are deep and wide, even in this little bike shop, particularly by Stephen and the kids.  And racism and sexism are still practiced out in the open when they said "I don't like her; nobody liked her; no one wanted her; etc".   People took what they said at face value without question, and acted on what they said by shunned me, grabbing oneself or left up their pant, etc etc etc of discriminatory and sexual harassment acts.
