First worlders and 3rd worlders

For most American, getting a driver's license and having a car in High School is relatively normal.  But in a 3rd world, this is only for the very rich.

So a Middle Eastern male housemate treated me as if I am a woman in his Middle East hometown that doesn't know how to drive, when I have decades driving experiences over him, and had driven from NYC to SFO twice; not to mention all over the US, and a little bit of Canada.
