I can pay for your food

 In a McDonald, an elderly white male asked "Did you get your food?  I can pay for your food."  as if I am a homeless/mendicant, can't afford to buy for McDonald.

He saw an East Asian woman - me, and thinking I must be so poor, I can't afford to buy food.

In a Structural Discrimination against Americans of color society and women, a former EE Adjunct Prof, a former Applied Physics researcher/scientist and one of the engineers that built the computer in the 1990s such as I, is at the verge of going homeless here in Northern Virginia. In a county next to America's wealthiest and the most educated county - Falls Church.

A while back while shopping in Aldi Del Ray, an elderly white male who said he was a diplomat strike up a conversation with me, and then said to me "thank-you for coming to America".  I was thinking "oh god, another redneck hillbilly white- trash see all Asian Americans as perpetual foreigners".  I gave him a 🙄 and walked away.  Otherwise I might not be able to control myself from given him a tongue lashing.
